Completely Anonymous

Calls to DSTRESS Line are anonymous, which means you'll never have to tell us your name. It's YOUR call, YOUR way. YOU are in charge. The call stays between you and DSTRESS Line, nobody else, your family or your command will ever know you called. We will only need your name if you want follow-up services, like a call back to see how it's going or more sessions with a licensed counselor.

Our only exception to this policy is if we think a caller is going to hurt him/herself or another. Then we must notify the appropriate authorities with whatever information we have available to protect you. Other than that, none of your personally identifiable information goes to the Marine Corps or anyone else outside of DSTRESS Line.
